The ZDET20B LVDT Position Sensor uses LVDT as the measuring element, and its iron core is one of the important parts that affect the measurement accuracy of the sensor. The debugging of the iron core is an important part of the sensor manufacturing and installation process. The following are the steps for the debugging of the iron core:
Determine the center position of the iron core: Use a ruler or caliper to measure the diameter of the iron core and take half of the diameter as the center position of the iron core.
Installation of iron core: Insert the iron core into the positioning hole inside the sensor, ensure that the iron core is symmetrical with the center of the positioning hole, and fix it with screws.
Measure initial excitation value: Conduct initial excitation on the sensor, use an oscilloscope to measure the output voltage value, and record it.
Adjusting the position of the iron core: Use a manual wheel to rotate the iron core, observe the changes in the output voltage value, and adjust the position of the iron core based on the measurement results until the maximum output voltage value is reached.
Measure output voltage value: After adjustment, measure the output voltage value again to check if it reaches the theoretical value. If there is any deviation, adjust the position of the iron core again until the expected measurement accuracy is achieved.
Fixed iron core position: After adjustment, fix the iron core position with screws to prevent displacement during operation.
It should be noted that during the process of debugging the iron core of the ZDET20B sensor, efforts should be made to avoid external interference such as magnetic fields and vibrations. In addition, attention should be paid to safety during the debugging process to avoid accidents.
