The Displacement Transducer can sense the position of the object to be measured and convert it into a sensor with available output signal. It can sense the position of the measured object and convert it into a sensor which can output signal. The switch can be used to detect the position and reflect a certain state. Different from the displacement sensor, the position sensor has two types: contact type and proximity type.

The contact of contact type sensor is made by two objects contacting and extruding. The common ones are travel switch, two-dimensional matrix position sensor and so on. The travel switch has the advantages of simple structure, reliable operation and low price. When an object touches the travel switch in the process of movement, its internal contact will act to complete the control. For example, the travel switch is installed at both ends of the X, y and Z axis direction of the machining center to control the movement range. The two-dimensional matrix position sensor is installed on the inner side of the mechanical palm to detect the contact position between itself and an object.
