Magnetoresistive speed sensor usually places the sensor head close to the tooth top of the detection gear installed on the rotating shaft. When the rotating shaft rotates with the gear, the sensor will sense a frequency signal proportional to the speed. Because

the sensor is composed of permanent magnet, coil and magnetic steel, when the magnetic object is close to the magnetic steel, the magnetic flux in the coil will change, and an alternating voltage whose frequency changes in proportion to the magnetic flux will be established at both ends of the coil.
