The ESY-80 rotor position proximity sensor extension cable's connector sealing and locking mechanism is specifically designed for the oily and vibrating environments of power plants, fundamentally addressing the two major issues of "preventing loosening" and "preventing oil seepage." In terms of connector structure, the ESY-80 uses an M12×1 standard threaded connector, rather than a common snap-fit ​​connector—the threaded connector offers more stable locking force, and features a double seal internally: firstly, a nitrile rubber O-ring on the connector end face, which compresses by 30%~40% when tightened, completely preventing oil from seeping in from the end face; secondly, a PTFE sealing gasket inside the connector, wrapping the wire core to prevent oil from entering the sensor through the gaps between the wire cores.

Regarding the locking mechanism, the ESY-80 connector nut features a knurled anti-slip texture on the outside for easy hand tightening on-site. The inside of the nut has a ratchet pawl – after tightening, the pawl engages with the ratchet teeth of the connector body to prevent loosening due to vibration. In actual testing, under a vibration environment of 3mm amplitude and 50Hz frequency, the nut showed no signs of loosening after 6 months of continuous operation, while ordinary connectors typically show slight loosening after 1 month. Furthermore, the connection point between the ESY-80 extension cable and the connector uses a molding process instead of traditional injection molding. The outer diameter of the connection point is 1.5 times thicker than the cable body, capable of withstanding a 50N tensile force without detaching, preventing the cable from separating from the connector due to vibration. During on-site installation, ensure the nut tightening torque reaches 15N·m (which can be calibrated with a torque wrench), and wrap the outside of the connector with oil-resistant tape to further enhance oil resistance.
