 Wear-Resistant Dual-Branch thermal resistance WZPK2-430NM Check Wear Layer and Core Damage

 
The WZPK2-430NM wear-resistant dual-branch thermal resistance uses two synchronously monitored resistors to provide early warning of wear layer and core damage by utilizing the difference in resistance changes. Under normal operating conditions, the sensor's outer wear layer is intact, and both resistors are encased in the wear layer and insulating material. They are exposed to the same temperature and have no direct contact with the measured medium (such as high-temperature flue gas or dust). Therefore, the resistance of the two resistors changes synchronously with the ambient temperature, keeping the resistance deviation within a very small allowable range.
 
When the wear-resistant layer of a WZPK2-430NM thermal resistance (RTR) gradually thins or even wears through due to long-term wear, the measured medium can penetrate the wear layer. Even slight contact with the insulating layer can cause localized uneven temperature conduction, resulting in different temperatures felt by the two resistors and inconsistent resistance changes (e.g., one resistance rising faster than the other). If the wear-resistant layer is completely worn through, allowing the medium to directly contact the resistor core, this can cause oxidation, corrosion, or mechanical damage. In this case, the resistance of one or both resistors will fluctuate abnormally (such as sudden increases, decreases, or irregular changes), often far exceeding the normal range.
 
By comparing the resistance data of the two resistors, if a persistently increasing or abnormally changing deviation is observed, it can be determined that the wear layer is damaged, or even the core is affected. This allows for timely sensor replacement before a serious equipment failure occurs, preventing process fluctuations or equipment damage caused by temperature monitoring failure.
