The B49H-10/2-W dual-color water level gauge displays the drum water level using red and green light bars, with red representing the water side and green representing the steam side. If the gauge displays all green or all red, it may indicate an abnormal system condition.

 

The B49H-10/2-W dual-color water level gauge relies on the conductivity difference between the electrodes and the medium to determine the water level. A full green display may mean the electrodes are completely covered by steam. In this case, the actual drum water level may be significantly low, preventing the electrodes from detecting the water signal and potentially causing a boiler water shortage. A full red display may indicate that the electrodes are completely submerged in water, indicating the actual water level is too high, potentially leading to a false alarm due to a false water level or electrode short circuit.

 

Alternatively, a full green or full red display may be caused by an electrode failure, resulting in signal acquisition anomalies. If the B49H-10/2-W water level gauge displays abnormal colors for a prolonged period, immediately shut down the system and inspect the electrode status, the actual drum water level, and the signal processing module of the secondary instrumentation to avoid operational risks caused by misjudgments.
