The reluctance speed sensor SZCB01 achieves speed measurement through electromagnetic induction principle, and its core lies in adjusting the gap between the probe and the gear tooth tip. This gap directly affects the amplitude stability and measurement accuracy of the sensor output signal. In the actual installation process, it is necessary to use tools such as feeler gauges to finely adjust the clearance to ensure the reliable operation of the sensor under complex working conditions.
 
The measurement principle of the gear velocity sensor SZCB01 is based on magnetic field changes: when the gear rotates, the tooth tip cuts the internal magnetic circuit of the probe, and induced voltage is generated in the coil. The amplitude of this voltage is proportional to the rotational speed, but inversely proportional to the size of the gap between the probe end face and the tooth tip. If the gap is too small, the gear may come into contact with the probe, causing mechanical wear and even damage; If the gap is too large, the signal amplitude will attenuate, affecting the measurement sensitivity. Therefore, adjusting the gap reasonably is the key to stabilizing the signal amplitude.
 
During the adjustment process, the proximity speed probe SZCB01 needs to be fixed on the bracket first, ensuring that its axis is perpendicular to the gear rotation plane. Subsequently, insert a feeler gauge between the probe end face and the tooth tip, gradually measure and record the signal output at different clearances. According to technical requirements, the recommended clearance range is usually 0.5 to 1.0mm (the specific value needs to be determined based on the gear module, material, and speed parameters). During adjustment, it is necessary to repeatedly test and observe the changes in signal amplitude until the optimal balance point is reached: ensuring that the speed probe has no physical contact with the gear, and that the output signal amplitude is stable enough to meet the input requirements of the controller.
 
In practical operation, attention should also be paid to the magnetic permeability and tooth profile design of gears. The gear material should be made of high permeability metal (such as 45 steel), and the tooth profile should preferably be involute to avoid waveform distortion. After installation, the gap status should be checked regularly to prevent gap deviation caused by equipment vibration or temperature changes.
