This principle enables the sensor to convert mechanical displacement into an electrical signal. Specifically, when the measured object is displaced, the movable iron core in the sensor moves accordingly, causing the inductance of the coil to change. By measuring this inductance change, the size and direction of the displacement can be accurately determined. The LVDT principle has the characteristics of high precision, high repeatability and good linearity, ensuring the reliability of displacement measurement.
Application areas
1. Oil motor stroke monitoring
In steam turbines, the 4000TD sensor is often used to monitor the stroke of oil motors. By accurately measuring the position change of the oil motor piston, the opening of the steam turbine regulating valve is controlled, thereby adjusting the steam intake of the steam turbine and ensuring the stable operation of the steam turbine under different loads.
2. Valve position detection
In addition to oil motor stroke monitoring, the sensor can also be used to detect other valve positions, such as steam turbine regulating valves, stop valves, etc. Real-time mastery of the opening and closing status and position of the valve helps to optimize the operation control of the steam turbine and improve energy efficiency.
3. Steam turbine component displacement monitoring
The 4000TD sensor can also be installed on key components of the steam turbine, such as bearings and rotors, to monitor the displacement of these components. By analyzing the displacement data, potential mechanical failures, such as excessive vibration and rotor eccentricity, can be discovered in time, and corresponding maintenance measures can be taken to avoid equipment damage and shutdown accidents.
Precautions for use
1. Installation requirements
When installing the 4000TD sensor, it is necessary to ensure the accuracy of its installation position to avoid measurement errors caused by improper installation. At the same time, the protection of the sensor should be considered to prevent mechanical damage, water vapor erosion, etc. from affecting its normal operation.
2. Regular calibration
